The department is headed by full time professor assisted by full time reader. Enthusiastic faculties are always ready to teach with innovative teaching methodology like arranging debates on topics of rape, abortions, acid attack etc.

We most often focus on integrated studies like arranging tutorials on poisons compared with mat med & pathology e.g. Phosphorus poison is compared with homoeopathic Phosphorus drug with detail pathological changes in it.

Quiz, debates, chart making activities, news paper reading promoted n shared etc activities make subject lighter in learning aspect.

Department is fully ventilated n equipped with enough space. All instruments and poisons are displayed in lock and key cupboards for safety purpose. Its well equipped museum - cum - demonstration room.
